SDL Atlas Ltd. is a joint venture formed by SDL & Atlas, the world’s leading suppliers of materials testing equipment and solutions. SDL Atlas is playing a pivotal role in developing Chinese markets and providing overall lab solutions in materials testing. Atlas & Intertek had formed a joint venture in Sept 2004, with its offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai. Intertek, the well-known testing institution, owns 272 labs and 531 offices in over 99 countries. With the addition of more than 80 sales centers of SDL, SDL Atlas is ready to support customers anywhere in the world. The new company was renamed to "SDL Atlas Ltd （锡莱-亚太拉斯香港有限公司）" with effective date from January 1, 2005. Its China headquarter was renamed to "SDL Atlas Ltd.（锡莱亚太拉斯(深圳)有限公司）". With the combination of SDL Atlas and Intertek, the new company will have an even greater capacity to provide the most advanced materials testing solutions.
SDL Atlas has built several testing labs in Beijing, Shanghai and Foshan for China Textiles Information Center(CTIC), its long-term strategic partner. These labs, such as humidity and temperature controlled lab, laundry/chemical testing labs and grading labs, are equipped with whole sets of advanced testing equipments from SDL Atlas in full compliance with international standards. The establishment of these labs helps Chinese textiles enterprises to understand how to build labs of international standards as well as bring up testing talents familiar with international standards.
SDL Atlas Ltd.锡莱亚太拉斯有限公司是由原SDL公司与ATLAS 公司组成。SDL公司与ATLAS 公司分别是纺织和材料测试行业世界领先的实验室检测设备供应商。SDL Atlas公司注重在中国的业务发展，致力于为中国提供材料测试方面的实验室整体解决方案。凭借多年的经验ATLAS与世界知名的检测机构Intertek- 天祥公证行有限公司于2004年9月在中国宣布成立合资公司，并在香港、深圳、北京、上海设有销售和服务办事处。Intertek目前在99个国家中有272所实验室和531个办事处。配合SDL原有分布在全球80多个国家的分销中心，可为世界各地的客户提供快捷到点的服务。新公司已于2005年1月1日正式更名为锡莱-亚太拉斯香港有限公司，同时中国总部更名为锡莱亚太拉斯（深圳）有限公司。其业务范围为SDL Atlas所生产及代理的各著名品牌测试仪器的销售及技术支持服务。综合SDL Atlas及Intertek在测试行业的雄厚实力和丰富经验，新公司必将为不同行业的客户提供最优秀和切合需要的材料测试解决方案。
长期以来，SDL Atlas与中国纺织信息中心结成全球战略合作伙伴关系，协助中国纺织信息中心在北京、上海和广东佛山建设符合国际标准的检测实验室。这些实验室均按国际标准装备了全套SDL Atlas的先进检测设备。由恒温恒湿实验室、水洗/化学分析实验室、评级实验室等组成。它的设立，能帮助中国更多纺织企业更好地了解如何建立符合国际标准的纺织实验室，并为中国培养出更多了解国际标准的检测人才。
