Sagem Mobiles R&D (Ningbo) Corporation Ltd. (SMRDN), which is located in Ningbo, a developed southeast coastal city of China, is a high-tech research and development enterprise wholly-owned and share-controlled by Sagem Wireless (France). The corporation, as the only R&D center of Sagem Wireless, devotes itself to the design, research and development of mobile phones and related electronic components and software.
Sagem Wireless, whose headquarter is located in Paris, France, is a leading high-tech multinational corporation of advanced technology of communication all over the world and enjoys a world-known reputation in mobile communication.
The holder of Sagem Wireless is Sofinnova, specialized in mobile communication and biotechnologies. It owns more than 11 hundred million euro of venture investment fund.
SMRDN has about 450 employees, 85% of them are R&D talents, involved in ID design, mechanical design, hardware design, software development, quality qualification and certification. The management team is French and Chinese managers. A team of over 20 foreign experts from Sagem Wireless Headquarter is assisting SMRDN.
